Intervention

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 5yo

OR 70
Timeform Rating 79

A 4yo son of Swiss Spirit, INTERVENTION has been a revelation since joining our team with Mick Appleby. Arriving from Ireland with a career record of 0-21 he went on to land 5 races during the AW Championships and ended the season as the winning most horse and in doing so scooped a 10k bonus fund.

He now switches his attention to the turf for the spring and summer with the hope of more to come.

Owners; The Horse Watchers, Laurence Bellman, Christian Cranfield, Matthew Bird, Matt Whelan, David Williams & Steve Chessum.

Saatty

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 3yo

OR 71
Timeform Rating 81

THW Earnings: £7,866

Saatty made an immediate impact in THW colours with two wins in his first three starts having joined our team from Ireland. He picked up an injury during his latest run at Chelmsford & is now set to return from a break in readiness for a spring and summer campaign. Still unexposed, we’re hopeful he’ll progress further.

Hathlool

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 3yo

OR 77
Timeform Rating 88

THW Earnings: £15,626

Purchased in July after a couple of promising runs in Ireland, Hathlool has had a productive winter on the AW which has seen him win three times. That’s despite the belief steadily run races on the AW haven’t seen him to best effect and we’re hopeful there’s more to come from this strong travelling son of Awtaad.

Rhoscolyn

Trainer: David O’Meara
Age: 4yo

OR 104
Timeform Rating 112

THW Earnings: £114,378

A three-time winner since joining The Horse Watchers, Rhoscolyn has developed into a high-class handicapper. A very tough and genuine horse, he’s best at 7f-1m and though he goes on any ground seems especially effective on a soft surface. He’ll run in top handicaps as well as Listed & Group company in 2022.

Tiger Touch

Trainer: David O’Meara
Age: 5yo

OR 67
Timeform Rating

THW Earnings: £0

Purchased from the Arqana Sale in July, Tiger Touch has been disappointing since joining THW team but he’s always shown the right signs at home and given some of his French form is strong we’re hoping that a break and a full prep with Dave ahead of the 2022 season sees him get on the up.

Liberation Point

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 4yo

OR 82
Timeform Rating 91

THW Earnings: £6,092

Liberation Point was given a long time off after being purchased at the Autumn HIT sales in 2020 & rewarded our patience by winning at Ripon on his first start for us. Subsequently second at Pontefract, he’s disappointed on his next two starts & has now been freshened up again before a turf campaign.

Owners: The Horse Watchers & Laurence Bellman, Christian Cranfield, Sam Darby, Graham Earl & Matt Whelan

Raasel

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 4yo

OR 81
Timeform Rating 92

THW Earnings: £17,325

A cheap purchase at just 10,000 Guineas, Raasel lost his way following a promising start in THW colours at Chelmsford but benefitted from a break and has thrived since. Now a three-time winner for us, Raasel is a strong traveller with loads of pace and is an exciting sprinter to look forward to.

Owners: The Horse Watchers & Laurence Bellman, Christian Cranfield, Simon Hales & Tony Denham

Night On Earth

Trainer: Mick Appleby
Age: 3yo

OR 80
Timeform Rating 86

Purchased in July to run in our AW Winter Syndicate, Night On Earth is an unexposed sprinter with loads of pace. Especially unexposed her the minimum trip around a bend, we’re looking forward to him this winter.
